  1. Day 1 Cusco- Mollepata- Soraypampa

    /We will start early in the morning picking you yp from your hotels, then we will leave Cusco and head torwards Mollepata (2 and a half hours by bus). In Mollepata we will stop for some time and maybe a small breakfast, then we will continue to Challacancha, which is the starting point of our trek, here we will  meet the horsemen , who will be in charge of transporting all our mountain gear, this first day hike it will be to warm up. From Challacancha we start hiking into a magnificent Rio blanco valley surrounded by impressive snow-capped mountains, such as the Humantay (5,217 m/17,116 ft) and the Salkantay snow-covered (6,264 m/20,551 ft). the first part of the trek is a kind of flat and easy hike, after 2 hours we will arrive to Soraypampa  ( 3,900 m/12,790 ft) where we will have lunch and camp, after lunch we will take a short rest, then we will do another hike to Humantay lagoon around 3 hours round trip, this beautiful turquoise color lagoon is the highlight of the day.

  2. Day 2 Soraypampa- Chaullay

    The second day of this journey is the challenging one, this day we will reach the highest point and is the longest day as well. After breakfast, we will slowly move taking a gentle path but gradually going up, after 2 hours the trail gets more steep, but the amazing landscape offers spectacular views of the different snow- capped mountains, after 4 hours of hiking we will arrive to the highest point ” the salkantay pass”( 4,600 m/ 15,090 ft), from this point we will have spectacular views, specially of Salkantay mountain , but this mountain also houses other mountains like Humantay (5,850 m/ 19, 192 ft) and Pumasillo ( 5, 800 m/ 19, 028 ft), after some time  we will start going down around 2 hours to our lunch place called Wayramachay, then after lunch we will continue going down another 3 hours to Chaullay ( 2950 m/ 9,600 ft), while we go down to our campsite you will notice the marked change in scenery along the way from Andean plateau to high jungle.

  3. Day 3 Chaullay- Lucmabamba

    This day is a perfect day to stay in contact with the local flora and fauna. After breakfast we will smoothly descent further to low jungle, on the way we  will see a lot passion fruit plantations, Avocado plantations, Coffee plantations, Banana plantations and off course visiting some local shops you will have the change to taste them, also along the way we can see local villages. After around 6 hours hike we will arrive to Lucmabamba( 2,000 m), here we will have lunch and camp the third night. Since this walk is just like half day , in the afternoon  we will organize a Coffee tour with one of the  local families , so you will have the chance to see all the process of making coffee and off course taste it. Another optional thing to do in the afternoon is to go to  the hot springs of Santa Teresa( 45 minutes buy car and is not included the transportation and entrance tickets to the hot springs).

    Walking Time: 6 hours.

  4. Day 4 Lucmabamba-Llactapata- Hydroelectrical station- Aguas Calientes

    This is another beautiful day, today we will have the chance to hike through the remains  of an original inca trail , which leads to an incan site called Llactapata (2, 700 m 8,858 ft), along the way we will see several coffee, banana, pacae, Lucma plantations. after 3 hours of hiking we will get to Llactapata, from where we will have amazing views of the Vilcanota mountain range, The Aobamba valley and a beautiful and distant view of Mchupicchu . after enjoying this views we will go down to Hidroelectica village and train station, this down hill trail will take us around 3 hours, in this place we will have lunch and after lunch we will take the train to Aguas calientes town( 2,000 m/ 6,561 ft) ( 45 minutes by train), here in Aguas calientes  we will stay in a hotel.

    Walking Time: 6 hours.

  5. Day 5 Aguas Calientes-Machupicchu

    No doubt this is the main day,We will leave early in the morning to take the first buses to go to Machu Picchu. In 30 minutes bs ride we will be at the entrance of Machupicchu where we will show our passports and entrance tickets , after we will climb  up around 10 minutes  to a place the guard house from where you will take the postal and classic pictures of this new seven wonder, then you will have a guided tour for 2 hours and 30 minutes , this allowes to learn and se the main part of this wonderful place, after that free time to explore more by you own, then you get back to Aguas Caliente s town for lunch, hot springs or simply relax and wait the train, later in the afternoon you wll take the train back to Ollantaytambo ( 1; 45 minutes)  in Ollantaytambo train station our driver will be waiting fro you to take you back to Cusco city.
