  1. Day 1 Cusco- Mollepata- Soraypampa

    We will start early picking  you up from your hotels, then we leave Cusco and head torwards Mollepata (2 and a half hours by bus). In Mollepata we will stop for some time and maybe a breakfast, after this stop we will continue buy bus up to Challacancha ( 45 minutes buy bus) , in this place we will meet the horsemen and start our trek. From Challacancha  we start hiking into a magnificent Rio blanco valley surrounded by impressive snow-capped mountains, such as the Humantay (5,217 m/17,116 ft) and the Salkantay snow-covered (6,264 m/20,551 ft).  This first part of the trek is  a short and easy one before lunch aprox. 2 hours  to reach our campsite in Soraypampa ( 3,900 m/12,790 ft), after lunch we will have a short break, then we will have another beautiful hike to the Humantay lagoon around 3 hours round trip, this beautiful turquoise color lagoon is the highlight of the day.

  2. Day 2 Soraypampa- Chaullay

    The second day is the challenging day, because we will reach the highest point of the trek and also is the longest distance, after an early breakfast we will  start our journey, the first par is gradually going up around 1 hour and 30 minutes, then the trail gets more steep, but the landscape and the view to Salkantay mountain are rewarding, after around 4 hours hiking  we will reach the highest point( the Salkantay pass 4,600 m/15,090 ft), from this point the views are amazing, we  can see the snow capped mountains like Humantay (5,850 m/ 19,192 ft and Pumasillo ( 5,800 m/ 19,028 ft), after enjoying this beautiful vistas we will continue to the our lunch place called Wayramachay  around 2 hours down hill , after lunch we will keep going down hill around 3 hours more, during this hike you will see the marked change in scenery along the way from Andean plateau to high jungle and you will feel warmer and humid and quite lush , finally arriving to Chaullay (2,920 m/ 9,580 ft) which will be our second night camp.

    Walking Time: 9 hours.

     

  3. Day 3 Chaullay- Lucmabamba- Hidroelectrica- Aguas Calientes

    This day is a perfect day to stay in contact with the local flora and fauna, after breakfast we will continue our trek following a gentle path that goes a little up in some parts but mostly down in general, this day we will walk like half day only, but we will  have the chance to see local farmers with  a lot Coffee plantations , Cacao plantations, Avocado plantations and off course you will have the chance to try them, after this we will arrive to Lucmabamba for our lunch, after lunch we will take a local transportation to Hidrelectrica ( 1 hour buy car) where we will take the train to Aguas Calientes town, here we will go to a hotel and spend the night.

  4. Day 4 Aguas Calientes- Machupicchu- Cusco

    This day  is our main day, we will start early in order to catch the first buses  and have the chance to see the sunrise in Machupicchu, after 30 minutes buy bus we will arrive to the incan wonder Machupicchu, at the entrance we will show our entrance tickets and passports , after that we will go to the main look out point to take those famous classic pictures , then you will have a guided tour for around 2 hours and 30 minutes, where you will learn more about this magical place. after the guided tour you will have some free time to enjoy the place by your own, then you get back to Aguas Calientes for lunch , hot springs or simply rest waiting for the train time, here you will take the train to take you back to Ollantaytambo (1 hour 40 minutes), in Ollantaytambo train station our driver will be waiting for you to take you back to Cusco.
