This amazing tour will take you to see the best of Peru. Our tour starts in Lima, a city full of rich flavours, unique experiences and the magical union of the past and the present. After Lima we will travel to Ica region with characteristic dunes and a vast desert with enigmatic figures, the Nazca Lines, made by ancient cultures: The Paracas and the Nazca. This is also home of Pisco, Peruvian national brandy. Then our journey leads us to the noble and volcanic Arequipa. This is a city with snow-capped mountains, volcanoes, deep canyons and renowned gastronomy. Our next stop is the folkloric capital of Peru, Puno, located on the Andean plateau this region is dominated by the Lake Titicaca, sacred place of the Incas. Puno is a legend, a multicoloured festival and home to natural and artificial islands. Our final destination is Cusco and Machu Picchu. Seductive, striking and natural, Cusco’s history lives in its streets, squares and valleys. The ancient citadel of Machu Picchu is considered to be the most extraordinary example of landscape architecture in the world.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    This tour must be book at least 2 months in advance.

    1. Day 1 Arrival to Lima - Peru

      According to the arrival to Lima, we will pick you from the airport and take you to the hotel, since most travelers they have long flights , this day will a free day to relax and rest.

    2. Day 2 CITY TOUR AND SAN FRANCISCO CHURCH.

      The day begins around 8 am with an excursion to the historic center of Lima, the famous “City of the kings” and part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage list. You will walk through the main square and visit its principal landmarks. Then you will visit the San Francisco church and its famous catacombs. Later you will continue the tour to the city’s modern sections: the exclusive district of San Isidro financial capital center of Lima and Miraflores, with a stop at the “Parque del Amor” ( a sort of lovers lane) and its incredible view of the pacific ocean. After the tour we will go a lunch, the we will take our private bus to Nazca City.

    3. DAY 3 THE ENIGMATIC NAZCA LINES.

      After breakfast we will start our journey, this day you will enjoy a thrilling 45 minutes flight over the Nazca Lines. This tour starts at Maria Raiche airport, here we will take our plane to over flight the  spectacular and  most famous Nazca Lines, this enigmatic and mysterious  place one of kind in the world, we will see 12 of the main figures including the Hummingbird, Dog, Hands, Astronaut, Tree, Spider, Lizard, Whale and more. After this fantastic experience you will enjoy your lunch and go back to the hotel. In the afternoon we will visit and explore Nazca city and we will have the chance to visit some vineyards to taste the Peruvian National brandy called Pisco.

    4. DAY 4 CHAUCHILLA CEMENTERY AND CANTALLOC AQUEDUCTS.

      Around 8 am we will start our journey picking you up from your hotel and take you to the archaeological place of Chauchilla, which is located in a desert zone, where you will see an open prei ncan cemetery which is more than 1000 years old. After visiting this amazing place we will continue our trip to the Aqueducts of Cantalloc, where almost 2000 years ago in pre incan times the inhabitants of Nazca built an underground system of aqueducts to irrigate the dry parts of the valley which did not have superficial water. This type of irrigation system is unique in Peru and even in the world. After this fantastic experience we will have  our lunch, after then we continue in our private bus along the Peruvian coast line to Arequipa City.

    5. DAY 5 AFTERNOON CITY TOUR.

      Since the previous day we had a long drive, this day day we start our tour after lunch. Around 1:30 pm we will pick you up and head  to San Camilo local market, where we will see the way of living of local people, how they’re still offering as it was before, more variety than in supermarkets; after that we will continue to La Compania de Jesus (Jesuit Church), a beautiful baroque style colonial construction, then we visit the famous Santa Catalina monastery, where you going to learn how it was the life for the nuns around 16th to 17th century. No doubt one of the main icons of Arequipa city.

    6. DAY 6 COLCA CANYON TOUR.

      This day we will make your way to one of the deepest canyons in the world, the Colca canyon 165 km from the city of Arequipa. On the way you will pass through Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve. Which has a peculiar setting, surrounded snow-capped peaks, precipices and is the habitat of Llamas, Alpacas and  Vicunas, after visiting this national park,  we will continue our trip to the highest point of this area Patapampa(4,910 m/16,160 ft), from where we will have spectacular views to different volcanoes. Then finally arriving to Chivay town which is a fascinating community, with a lively market,here we will have our lunch and then we can go to the la Calera hot springs or simply head to Yanque Village to the hotel. The afternoon is free to enjoy those thermal water or the comfort of your hotel.

    7. DAY 7 CRUZ DEL CONDOR AND YANQUE.

      The day begins with an early  breakfast and then a drive to the Cruz del Condor, the second deepest part of the canyon and  a natural lookout and perfect spot for watching the majestic Andean condor, the largest flying bird in the American continent. After watching the condor we are going to do a small trek in a different part of the canyon with very few tourists. On the way back you will stop by the village of Maca to visit its charming handicraft market and colonial church. Then we go back to Chivay for lunch, After that we go to the hotel andlate in the afternoon we walk around the area to se Pre incan terraces and more.

    8. DAY 8 YANQUE TO PUNO.

      Around 7 am we will leave to Puno, this day we will drivearound 5 hours. On the way we will see more south american camels, flamingos, snow-capped mountains, local villages and some small lagoons with some andean  birds. Arriving to Puno approx. 1 pm, where you will have lunch and enjoy the free afternoon.

    9. DAY 9 LAKE TITICACA THE FLOATING UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS.

      Today will be a full day excursion on the Lake Titicaca, located at 3808 m/12,566 ft, the world’s highest navigable lake. This tour gives you a chance to visit Puno’s main attractions like: the floating Uros island located 6 km from the Puno’s bay, this island keeps unique charm where Aymara speaking local people live, and then and 35 min from there is Taquile Island, where the community gives you a traditional welcome, show you their customs, traditional and colorful outfits and teach you what knitted patterns mean.

    10. DAY 10 PUNO TO CUSCO, TOUR OVER THE HIGHLANDS.

      This day begins with an early breakfast, then we  will take our private bus to the city of Cusco. This full day tour is of the most beautiful one in Peru. passing high points,snow-capped mountains, historic and archaeological places. There is a scheduled stop at the La Raya Pass(4,400 m/14,520 ft) the natural border between the departments of Cusco and Puno, which is a prime location for taking impressive photos. Afterwards, you will tour the Incan archaeological site of Raqchi, renowned for its massive temple to the god Viracocha. After we will have lunch and the next on the itinerary is a stop at the village of Andahuaylillas, where you will see an actual architectural masterpiece: its main church, built in the 17th century, where its finely painted interior walls will astound you. Then we continue to Cusco city around 1 hour.

    11. DAY 11 CITY TOUR, VISIT TO SACSAYHUANAN AND NEARBY ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES.

      Today’s tour will start in the afternoon and we will show you the amazing Cusco’s colonial center, inheritance from its Andean and Spanish past, as well as an UNESCO world cultural heritage site. Two of the city’s famous landmarks are on the schedule, The Korikancha or ‘’The Temple of the Sun’’, and the cathedral home to finely curved wooden art pieces and impressive paintings from the 16th century. Then we will take our transportation to visit  Tambomachay a beautiful ceremonial place related to water elebrations, then we walk like a 10 minutes to visit Puka Pukara a miltary control place, then we go to Qenko another ritual place, the we will visit the main Incan archaeological place called Sacsayhuaman, an Incan fort with massive stone works that guarded the imperial city.

    12. DAY 12 FREE DAY

      This day you will have free day, no doubt Cusco is a perfect place for it, with beautiful local markets, shopping areas and full of colors.

    13. DAY 13 AUTHENTIC SACRED VALLEY: CHINCHERO, MORAY, OLLANTAYTAMBO.

      Today’s tour will take you to the famous Sacred Valley starting on the Inca’s balcony- Chinchero, a beautiful place where families still preserve their traditional customs showing you the ancestral way to process the wool and obtain those vivid colors for their textiles. Then our trip will lead us to Moray, an Incan agricultural experimental place, which was a center for the ancient study of domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of wild plants. Finally we will visit Ollantaytambo, an authentic Inca living town which houses one of the main Inca buildings with sumptuous constructions. After visiting Ollantaytambo we will take the train to Aguas Calientes town( 1: 45 minutes)

    14. DAY 14 MACHU PICCHU, THE LOST CITY OF THE INCAS.

      This is the main day of our tour, today you will see one of the seven world wonders, the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. This citadel is considered to be the most extraordinary example of landscape architecture in the world. We will start early in the morning in order to catch the first buses to Machupicchu, where you will have a 3 hours guided tour with your guide and then you will have some free time to explore on your own. Then we will return to Aguas Calientes  for lunch or simply relax and wait for the train time. later in the afternoon we take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco.

    15. DAY 15 Departure to Lima according to your flight time.

      Unfortunately this the last day, hopping that you had a great time with us. According to the flight hour we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport.
