CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY- MACHUPICCHU CLASSIC TOUR – 4D/3N

from $650.00

Cusco the “Archaeological capital of the Americas” seen as the oldest continuously inhabited city is a beautiful city riddled with contrasts between the indigenous styles and the modern western world. All these contrasts have given Cusco its rare beauty.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas was undoubtedly a key area of settlement to the Incas. Its pleasurable climate and fertile plains make a rare and fruitful combination for the high Andes. The Sacred Valley was also the route to the jungle, therefore an area with access to the fruits and plants of the tropical lowlands; and served as a safeguard zone, protecting Cusco from incursions of the fierce jungle tribes.

The location of Machu Picchu, perched on a hilltop enclosed by a 400-meter cliff in a meander of the River Urubamba, could not be better chosen. Man and Nature have managed integration perfect in this work of the Inca people to the harmonious construction which makes it one of the most extraordinary architectural and archaeological monuments in the world.
