The Colca Canyon, located in the Department of Aréquipa, in the Peruvian Andes, is one of the deepest in the world and home to a large population of Condors. The 3 day trip combines the historical splendors of one of Peru’s nicest cities with the scenic marvels of the world’s second deepest canyon.

Our journey starts at 7.30 am picking you up from your hotels and we will take the main road ro Chivay. To achieve the Colca Valley, you will need first cross the National Reserve Salinas y Aguadas Blancas, where you can observe herds of vicuñas (close relative of llama and alpaca, but living in the wild and whose wool is one of the most expensive in the world) evolves between lagoons populated by flamingos pink. After this stop we will continue to the highest point, Patapampa, 4910m. Then we will continue to Chivay where we will have lunch. After having lunch we will continue to Cabanaconde. On the way to Cabanaconde we will make stops to see some local villages. Once we arrive to the Cross of Condors, you might have the chance to observe the majestic flight of the world’s largest bird flying Earth, Condor, which uses hot air flows up from the bottom of the canyon. And finally we will go to Cabanaconde to spend the first night.
Breakfast at 7.30 am and shortly after we will walk approx 4hrs down to Sangalle (oasis). Once we reach the oasis you will have the chance to enjoy the swimming pools while the guide will be preparing the lunch. In the afternoon you can explore the oasis visiting the Colca river and the suspension bridge. In this place we will spend the second night.
Starting very early in the morning at 4.30am to have breakfast and after having breakfast around 5 am we will leave the oasis to climb up to Cabanaconde which will take approx. 3 hrs. After reaching Cabanaconde we will take our bus to Chivay where we will go to the hot springs and have lunch. We will arrive to Arequipa around 5.30 pm.
