HOW IS THE WEATHER IN PERU?
Peru’s climate is part of its beauty, and varies depending where you visit. On the coast it is hot even in winter time (may to October) it can get a bit cold during the afternoon and night time. On the south we have two main seasons wet and dry, wet season runs from November to April with warm weather overall. The dry season runs from April to November with sunny days and cold nights.
WHAT VACCINES DO I NEED FOR PERU?
Before coming to Peru you should consult your local clinic about vaccines, the regular vaccines that you need for Peru are POLIO, DIFTHERIA, TETANUS etc. but if you go to the low jungle its recommended Yellow fiver vaccine.
WHAT IS THE Difficulty OF THE TREKS?
All of our treks like (the inka trail, salkantay, choquequirao, lares etc.) are moderately difficult. We highly recommend that you have to be a bit fit and specially acclimatized to the altitude (minimum 2 days at altitude) before taking any of our tours.
IS IT SAFE TO DRINK THE WATER?
Tap water in Lima, Cusco Arequipa and other cities are consumed by local people every day. But is it safe for you? We recommend you not to drink or use for brushing your teeth, bottled water is cheap and you can find it everywhere.
WILL I GET ALTITUDE SICKNESS WHEN I ARRIVE IN CUSCO?
It’s common for most people coming from sea level to experience at least mild symptoms when they arrive in Cusco. Which is 11,000 feet, 3400 masl. Symptoms vary from person to person. But can include:
Headache
Nausea
Insomnia
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
