Some people like longer and quite treks to enjoy the beauty of the nature and spectacular inka sites along the way. So this trek is a perfect one for them. This trekking to CHOQUEKIRAW and MACHUPICCHU will take through the most beautiful mountain ranges, valleys, rain forests and the spectacular flora and fauna.

SEASON: March to DECEMBER
DAY 1: CUSCO- CACHORA- CAPULIYOC- CHIKISKA-PLAYA ROSALINA- SANTA ROSA
Leaving early from cusco we will reach our trekking point to start our hike. At the beginning we will have 4 hours downhill to reach our lunch place. After lunch we will go a bit more down to the botton of the valley , then we will go uphill to reach our campsite. You will have great views on the way.

CAMPSITE ELEVATION: 1800m
DAY 2: SANTA ROSA- MARANPATA- CHOQUEQUIRAO
After an early breakfast we will hike up to maranpata this part of the trek has many zigzags, once we get to the top you will have fantastic views of the area, then we will go down to our campsite place which is choquekiraw already. Here we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will visit this amazing place.

DAY 3: CHOQUEQUIRAO PASS- PICHAWNIYOC- RIO BLANCO- MAIZAL
Having an early breakfast then we will have around one hour to get to the pass, then the trail gets gentle, but as usual spectacular views, then we will get to an inka site called pichawniyoc a resting place in all times, then down hill to the lunch spot in rio blanco. Finally we will go uphill to our campsite.

DAY 4: MAIZAL- MINAS VICTORIA- CONDOR PASS- YANAMA
After enjoying a magical sunrise and a tasty breakfast we will start another nice day, today we will reach the second highest point of our trek (4200m) where we will have some snacks while we enjoy spectacular views and perhaps some Andean condors, then we will keep walking to our campsite in yanama a small village with ancient traditions.

CAMPSITE ELEVATION: 3800m
DAY 5: YANAMA- LLAMOCA PASS- TOTORA
This day we will reach our highest point, we climb up the famous vilcabamba mountain range, after around 5 hours we will get to the LLamoca pass located at 4500m
Where one can appreciate great views while enjoying the box lunch, then we will keep moving to reach our campsite, on the way we will see the famous Salkantay and Humantay mountains, finally we will arrive to the campsite to spend the night.

CAMPSITE ELEVATION: 3500m
DAY 6 : TOTORA- CCOLLPAPAMPA- LA PLAYA
This day we will have a relatively easy day, 3 hours down hill to Ccollpapampa where we will have our lunch, then we will say goodbye to the horsemen, after we will continue hiking and enjoying fruit plantations, waterfalls and some wild life. Finally we will get to la playa to camp.

DAY 7: LA PLAYA- LLACTAPATA- AGUAS CALIENTES
Today we are going to enjoy some local coffee on the way and some fruit plantations like passion fruit and avocados, this day it will be our last hiking day 3 hours up and 3 hours down, on the way we will visit an inka site called Llactapata from where you will see Machupicchu already, then we will head down to Hidroelectrica for lunch and to take our train to Aguas calientes.

AGUAS CALIENTES: 2000m
DAY 8 : MACHUPICCHU- CUSCO
Our main day ,we will start early having a breakfast in the hotel then we will catch the first busses to go to the citadel, we recommend to start early in order to enjoy the sunrise, your tour guide will show you this spectacular inka site around 2 hours where you will see the best of MACHUPICCHU, then some free time to walk around by your own. After you will get back to Aguas calientes to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo where you will meet the driver to go back to CUSCO.
